Integral Design
Integral design is one of today’s solutions for the significantly expanded challenges of designing modern, sustainable buildings. Integral design is an interdisciplinary collaboration in which specialists are brought in to the design process from an early stage onward. In this way, a project’s early design phases already take into account all aspects of its ecological footprint, from design, structural design, construction details, the energy use concept/TGA, landscape design, and facility management, up to operational and recycling requirements. Within the team, a holistic perspective of the building program is the starting point of a comprehensive, coherent design. It is the only way to uphold all of the synergies involved. Finally, integral design results in an all-around optimal and thus very cost-efficient outcome.
AND integral design means intensive and constructive cooperation with the client; ideally, creating a synergy from their confidence in the contractor, the skill of the architect, and new pioneering design proposals.
